Breathing timer
Not medical advice.
In for 4, hold for 7, out for 8.
Ready
Ready when you are
Start with 4 rounds.
If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally. Nothing is stored or sent from this page.
How to use it
Sit or lie down somewhere comfortable. Pick a pattern and press Start. Follow the circle: it grows as you breathe in and shrinks as you breathe out. The number shows how many seconds are left in each step.
Breathe through your nose if you can, and keep it soft. You are not trying to take big breaths. If a longer count feels strained, make each step shorter. Four rounds is a good place to begin.
Which pattern should I pick?
- 4-7-8: a long, slow exhale. Many people like it in the evening.
- Box 4-4-4-4: even and steady. Good when you want to feel focused and level.
- Calm 5-5: the gentlest. A simple in and out, with no holds.
If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally. If it keeps happening, talk to a professional.
